			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I hand out my business cards to folks, they look at it and say&#8230;&#8221;I ain&#8217;t running&#8230; I don&#8217;t run!&#8230;I don&#8217;t workout! &#8221; This week I even had someone tell me he doesn&#8217;t eat fruits or vegetables. I don&#8217;t expect everyone to be in love with fitness and health and have the same passion as I do. Considering the negative trends of obesity and preventable health related diseases and deaths, I would expect people to be a little more mindful of how they treat their bodies. Overeating, lack of exercise, dependency on prescription drugs, smoking, excessive drinking (alcohol) are just a few of the issues that plague this society and are hurting the growth and development of our future generations.</p>

<p>I have kids and I don&#8217;t want to outlive them. An old Chinese Proverb states&#8230;<em>&#8216;To outlive one&#8217;s children is a curse of the gods.&#8217; </em>Sadly this may become an unfortunate trend. This trend be can be reversed through exercise. Now we, as the adults have to get ourselves moving and be positive role models (in Health) for our youth. According to the <em>Centers for Disease Control and Prevention</em>, you need Physical Activity to:<strong><br />
* Maintain weight.<br />
* Reduce high blood pressure.<br />
* Reduce risk for type 2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke, and several forms of cancer.<br />
* Reduce arthritis pain and associated disability.<br />
* Reduce risk for osteoporosis and falls.<br />
* Reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.</strong></p>
<p>This is why I do what I do. I really care about the well being of others and I will do anything in my power to make sure I assist as many people start their journey towards wellness and be a catalyst towards change in their lives. Boot Camps, Run Clubs, Fitness classes, Fitness advice, Nutritional advice and most importantly&#8230;<strong><em>MOTIVATION</em></strong> is what I will offer to those willing to accept it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yeah! I&#8217;m finished with my 3-Day cleanse! Unlike the 30-Day Master Cleanse I did a year and a half ago, this one was much easier. What I did notice about this cleanse was the fact that the nutrients in the <a href="http://myshakeology.com/esuite/home/nasara">Shakeology</a> really sustained me and not once did I fell weak or tired. I also love the fact that it didn&#8217;t compromise my regular workouts (I did <a href="http://beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/nasara?bctid=25219364001"><strong>ChaLean Extreme</strong> </a>today and my <a href="http://beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/nasara?bctid=25227773001"><strong>Insanity</strong></a>/<a href="http://beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/nasara?bctid=25219321001"><strong>P90X</strong> </a>hybrid w/ my Boot Camp Class) or the classes I teach! I didn&#8217;t do it to lose weight&#8230;I wanted to clean out my system and in the process I did happen to lose 8 pounds. (Yay for me!) I&#8217;m glad to see that I have inspired others to try the cleanse and use it as a &#8220;Springboard&#8221; for their new eating habits.<br />

<p>Feeling rundown? Try laughing more. Some researchers think laughter just might be the best medicine, helping you feel better and putting that spring back in your step.</p>
<p>&#8220;I believe that if people can get more laughter in their lives, they are a lot better off,&#8221; says Steve Wilson, MA, CSP, a psychologist and laugh therapist. &#8220;They might be healthier too.&#8221;</p>
<p>Yet researchers aren&#8217;t sure if it&#8217;s actually the act of laughing that makes people feel better. A good sense of humor, a positive attitude, and the support of friends and family might play a role, too.</p>
<p>&#8220;The definitive research into the potential health benefits of laughter just hasn&#8217;t been done yet,&#8221; says Robert R. Provine, professor of psychology and neuroscience at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and author of Laughter: A Scientific Investigation.</p>
<p>But while we don&#8217;t know for sure that laughter helps people feel better, it certainly isn&#8217;t hurting&#8230;</p>

Sirius Fitness is holding a Community Forum discussing what direction Fitness, Health and Wellness needs to go in the Southeast San Diego Community. Sirius Fitness is planning a Running Club, Fitness Boot Camps, Health and Wellness Lectures and Forums, Personal Training Sessions and more and would LOVE to entertain input from the community. This Community Forum will take place FRIDAY at 11:30 am at the Malcolm X Library, which is located on 5148 Market St. (Across from Tubman Chavez Community Center) Call me at 619-819-6493 for more information.</p>
